As a student at Boston College, Mark Bogosian’s wheels were already turning about molding his family’s home construction business into an authentic design/build firm. Why this was—and still is —so important to the relatively young executive all comes back to a belief in the importance of designing and building top quality homes.

“We want to continue to provide great work for our clients and also raise our company to the next level of excellence,” Bogosian, owner of Falmouth-based Longfellow Design Build, says. “We’re always looking to take advantage of what’s new.”

The Bogosian family has been building and remodeling homes from Cape Cod to the Greater Boston area since 1998. Bogosian says he developed a passion for crafting and building homes early on in life.

“Since I have been exposed to the construction and design industry over my entire life, I have seen how  quality makes such a difference,” he says.

Bogosian says his primary philosophy is, “If you do something right the first time, you’re always going to be better off at the end.” Incorporating the design/build concept into his company, Bogosian says, has allowed his team of professional tradespeople—all employed in-house—to complete projects with a commitment to excellence and follow-through. “They understand what it takes to create a spectacular product,” he says.

“We also know that with a bad design, the finished product won’t stand out, no matter how good the installer is,” Bogosian says. “Working with the design team to select today’s newest, quality products and innovative techniques is essential.”

Bogosian says that Longfellow Design Build—who also have a kitchen and bath showroom in Falmouth—aim to maximize the function, design, and sustainability of a homeowner’s project, from a kitchen design that allows for easy entertaining, to a new home that will be in the client’s family for generations.

“Quality construction paired with a phenomenal design theme,” he explains, “leads to an exciting process for our clients every time.”
