Running a successful business for over 80 years is no easy feat. Simon’s Supply Vice President Fred Felder credits this accomplishment to the way his company treats its customers.

“We know how people like to do business. We treat people fairly,” Felder explains. “The retail world has certainly changed over the last 80 years.

“We’ve grown so much as a company since then. We really were the first guys around in the 1970s’ to open up showrooms for the buying public when the trade didn’t always like suppliers selling directly to customers. We sort of bucked the trend then–and we’ve been doing that ever since.”

With a Simon’s Bath Showroom located in West Yarmouth and other locations throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, Simon’s Supply is also one of the area’s oldest plumbing and heating supply sources. The third generation, family-owned company’s showrooms—which also feature kitchen faucets and sinks—are unique, says Felder, because of the brands of bath and kitchen products offered.

“Many of the showrooms on Cape Cod are brand specific, and we offer many different brands in our showroom—brands you will not necessarily see everywhere,” he says, including Madeli, Strasser Woodenworks, California Faucets, and Kalia. “We feel that we’re a special destination.”

When it comes to designing the perfect bathroom, Felder knows there is no one-size-fits-all. “But what we do know,” he says, “is that while we sell bathrooms all the time, this bathroom is special to you and to your house, so we don’t want to sell you just a cookie-cutter bathroom; we want to make it special. We listen to what you have to say, and we’re going to try to find those products that meet both your budget and your style.”
