Part of the inspiration of the suite was Former Furniture, the Los Angeles-based business that Miller and her sister launched in 2009. Some of the suite’s pieces, in fact, are from the online business. Much of the rest is from Miller’s family; in the spirit of recycling, she had the furniture repainted or upholstered so the pieces could be “new” again.
