The project is an upside down house, where the living quarters are on the second floor and the bedrooms are on the first floor. Herbert’s partner, Kevin Miller, is a trained architectural designer, and together they reworked the moldings, trim, and interior hardware to personalize the home and give the rooms character. Miller also designed a custom outdoor mahogany shower that the owners like to call the “Petticoat Junction Shower.”
