Since this is our final issue of 2012, I thought you might like to meet the people who create Cape Cod HOME year-round.
Some of the people critical to making HOME happen all year work as independent contractors. Even though they are not part of our regular crew, their talents have shaped every issue of HOME this year.
First, there are our freelance writers and editors, one of whom has worked for Cape Cod HOME since its launching in 1996. Nancy Berry was Cape Cod HOME’s editor for many years and her architectural knowledge, sense of style, and great taste gave Cape Cod HOME the foundation to be the magazine it is today. Nancy is our contributing editor and one of our best feature writers.
We have several other freelance writers with fine talent that we depend on. Freelancer Mary Grauerholz always turns in stories that are so good they scarcely need a serial comma. Jen Sperry is another ace for us, when she is not shaping the marketing of Sperry Tent.
We have several young freelance writers who are talented writers—notably Amanda Wastrom, Hillary Wenzel, Ashleigh Bennett, Matt Nilsson, Fiona O’Connor and Ashley Owen. The last five were all Cape Cod Life Publications editorial interns.
In shelter magazines, all the words in the world are nothing without great design and superb photography. On the design side of things, HOME’s Art Director Patty Dysart deserves big applause for pulling each issue together with style, flair, and her own marvelous touches. The members of our in-house art department, including Cape Cod Life Art Director Amanda McCole and our Print and Web Ad Designer, Jennifer Dow, are also key players in every issue of HOME.
Lastly, our regular photographers are in a word, superb—they are too numerous to mention here, but we thank Eric Roth, Dan Cutrona, Stacey Hedman, Terry Pommett, and Brian Vanden Brink for making each issue all year long beautiful with their vision and their technical mastery.
We hope you enjoy the hard work of all these artists. Their creativity is the heart of every HOME. Happy New Year to you—and to Cape Cod Life Publications’ terrific crew!
