Maria Hickey | Maria Hickey & Associates Landscapes
At Maria Hickey and Associates Landscapes in Falmouth, the goal of each job is to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and build long-term client relationships. With design, installation, and maintenance services, the company creates exciting landscapes that far exceed customer expectations with the transformation of each property from ordinary to extraordinary.
President Maria Hickey learned about horticulture and design from an early age when she would accompany her aunt, noted author and botanist Ann Buckley, on their walks through Woods Hole. Hickey also received a formal education from Robin Templar Williams, a world renowned architect and founder of the College of Garden Design, and went on to design, install, and maintain the English Cottage Garden at Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich.
Many of Hickey’s clients enjoy living on the water, helping her to cultivate an extensive knowledge of how flora in sometimes challenging conditions will thrive and also giving her a solid understanding of conservation regulations. Landscaping by the water often means bringing in mitigation plants—plants that go in to offset the work being done—which Hickey is able to integrate into the surroundings, maintaining the naturally beautiful landscape.
When working with Maria Hickey and Associates, clients know they will benefit from the firm’s promise of “Do it Once, Do it Right.” Hickey explains, “We do things right the first time saving you time and money. Our extensive horticulture, arbor-culture, turf management, and design expertise provide a priceless benefit to our clients. Our professional staff is dedicated to providing superior service on a personal level.”
