Bourne
Things To Do
If you’ve only seen the Bourne Bridge from behind the wheel, stop off at the Bourne Scenic Park, located beneath the 77-year-old structure and distinguished as one of the few campgrounds in the area to allow campfi res. Enjoy two new pools, ride on bike trails along the Cape Cod Canal, or just sit and watch the boats cruise by.

Find antique cooking utensils, furniture, and other artifacts in the museum. Elsewhere, explore a windmill gift shop, a saltworks, a picnic area, and a railroad station built for Bourne summer resident President Grover Cleveland.

With its soft sand and calm waters, Scusset Neck Beach is a popular beach for all ages. It’s close to the Cape Cod Canal, and while its main entrance and most of the property are located in Bourne, walk far enough and you’ll cross into Sandwich. Stop by after a spin along the canal’s bike path.
