The Cape Cod Rail Trail starts in Dennis and follows a former railroad path for 22 miles through several Cape towns. Bike along its paved surface, which has few hills. A wide unpaved shoulder on one side accommodates horseback riders, walkers, and runners.
Visit the Indian Lands Conservation Area, 25 acres of woodland and marshes, where the Nobscusset Indians passed the winter months in wigwams on the shores of Bass River. In late spring, Lady’s Slipper orchids bloom beside the walking trail.
Beach It!
Corporation Beach is located in a small cove on Cape Cod Bay, and the view to the east is picture postcard perfect. After enjoying the sand and water, take a break in the shaded picnic area or walk the kids over to the playground on site.
