Don’t-Miss Dining

Start the day at Dino’s Harwich Port Grille. Try one of the specials—like their famous homefries with sautéed peppers, onions, and mushrooms topped with cheese and two eggs any style.

Visit the French bistro L’Alouette for an elegant meal paired with good wine. Try the Coquilles St. Jacques à la Parisienne, a dish of scallops and mushrooms in a white wine glaçage.

“Family friendly” doesn’t have to mean subpar food: The 400 East has a menu of fresh ground charbroiled burgers, grilled thin crust pizzas, pastas, steaks, fresh seafood and more.

Point of Interest

Harwich is home to historic hotels and inns and charming bed and breakfasts among its old-fashioned dwellings. The Clapp family has owned Clapp’s Guest House, located in the heart of Harwichport, since 1937. The Cape Cod Claddagh Inn is a Victorian inn reminiscent of a small Irish manor. The nearby Platinum Pebble is a bed and breakfast inside a circa 1830s sea captain’s house.
