Whether it’s elegant artworks hung on the walls or unique music resonating off of its high ceilings, there’s always something going on at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. A year-round calendar of events, exhibits, and classes nurtures emerging and established artists of all media, genres, and styles. Admission to many events is free.

The scenic 22-acre Taylor-Bray Farm, founded in the 1600s, is listed on the National Record of Historic Places and is open to the public daily. The setting includes a farmhouse, barn, and walking paths. Take advantage of special events, including a fall festival, a winter open house, and a summer sheep shearing festival. Admission is free, but donations to care for the animals are appreciated.

For a quiet beach getaway, head to Gray’s Beach. This little-known beach on the north side of Yarmouthport is fun for the whole family, and no beach sticker is required. Find calm water, picnic tables, restrooms, and a playground. Witness crabs, quahogs, osprey, and other wildlife in a natural setting as you walk the 860-foot Bass Hole Boardwalk that stretches across lush marshland near the beach.
