Chris Russo | The Woman’s Workout Company

Strong women are beautiful. That’s the philosophy that has served The Woman’s Workout Company in Hyannis for almost 30 years. This is a place where women feel safe and comfortable in an environment where they can work out, get fit, and improve their physical and mental health. With personalized care and a creative membership system that rewards clients, The Woman’s Workout Company is a progressive leader in the Cape’s fitness field. “We don’t change because of the competition. We are the drivers of change,” says owner Chris Russo.

Even with 1,500 members at the gym, Russo and his staff still strive to make every experience feel like a one-on-one training session. Members are greeted by name and meet individually with trainers to discuss goals and progress.“Fifteen hundred members have 1,500 different reasons for coming in,” says Russo, each one requiring personal attention to achieve their special goals.

Russo and his team help women of all ages and levels of fitness who come through the facilities’ doors. “Wherever they are on that path to fitness, we step in and help them along,” Russo explains. For young women, he notes that the motivation is mostly about looking good and feeling better. As women age, those needs often change to a desire for increased energy levels, battling osteoporosis, or stress relief. Russo notes that The Woman’s Workout Company has programs and services for women at every fitness level.

Perhaps the most progressive thing about The Woman’s Workout Company is its membership system, where members are actually encouraged to return and can save money by doing so. Members who come in just eight times a month receive a discount on their monthly rate. If they come in for 12 visits a month, which is considered perfect attendance, they receive even greater savings. Russo also encourages women apprehensive about making a commitment to try a no-strings-attached, 14-day trial membership. With retention rates above 75 percent, the numbers speak for the success of this innovative, responsive fitness facility.
