Recipe from the Dan'l Webster Inn in Sandwich.
- 8 ounces Cape Cod Red Ale
- 8 ounces apple cider
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Kosher salt
- 3 star anise
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander
1. In a saucepan bring Cape Cod Red Ale to a boil.
2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and refrigerate for one hour.
