Shortbread Crust

Recipe provided by The Island Merchant, 302 Main Street, Hyannis.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ sticks unsalted butter, cut into ½ inch pieces
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Blend all ingredients in a food processor until the mixture begins to come together into small balls of dough. Press mixture into a 13″ by 9″  baking pan.
  3. Cook about 20 minutes until golden brown.
