Chatham Jewelers sparkles above the rest as Netflix taps them to create custom jewelry for a new streaming series.

For almost 75 years, Chatham Jewelers has become a meaningful foundation to many perfect couples’ love and commitment. When Netflix came to the iconic village of Chatham in 2023 to stage and shoot a new series based upon Elin Hilderbrand’s best-selling novel, The Perfect Couple, legions of fans across the Lower Cape shared celebrity sightings and inside gossip as Hollywood royalty perfectly complemented the Cape’s natural beauty. So when a scout from Netflix called Chatham Jewelers about designing a pivotal piece of jewelry for a new dramatic series, it was easy to assume it was due to the impression the venerable business had made on the producers who had enjoyed their time on the Cape.

“It was literally a call out of the blue,” general manager Emily Porter explains. “We really didn’t have any involvement in the Perfect Couple, other than repairing a pair of Nicole Kidman’s earrings. So as a complete coincidence, a scout was searching for a jeweler who could create a line of jewelry that figures prominently in a new series called Sirens they are filming in the Hamptons,” says Porter, who proudly serves as the third generation of her family’s business; is a Graduate Gemologist, a Certified Gemologist Appraiser; and the principal buyer and designer for the store which carries a selection of jewelry that embodies the spirit of this coastal region.
