2024 Winners
In 1979, Brian Shortsleeve founded Cape Cod Life with two specific goals. First, to share his love for the Cape & Islands, and second, to do so through beautiful photography.
Our Annual Photo Contest pays homage to Brian’s original mission by sharing the hard work of local photographers, honoring the early morning hours they spend out in the marshes of Sandwich or along the dunes of Truro trying to immortalize one perfect Cape Cod moment.

Format
Digital Submission. Please send largest size possible! When sending from a phone please choose “Largest Size” or “Actual Size” when sending. Preferred size is at least 300 dpi. Use the digital submission form below.
Timeline
Now accepting entries for the 2025 Annual Photo Contest. All entries must be received by February 15th, 2025 at 11:45 PM.
Winners will be announced in the June 2025 issue of Cape Cod LIFE.
Prizes
The Grand Prize winner will be featured on the cover of the June 2025 issue of Cape Cod LIFE, and will win a $300 gift certificate to Cape Cod Photo, Art & Framing. In each of the five categories, four cash prizes will be awarded:
- 1st Place - $100
- 2nd Place - $75
- 3rd Place - $50
- Honorable Mention - $25
Plus our Readers' Choice Photo Award winner will receive a free one-year subscription to Cape Cod LIFE.
The winners' photos will be included in the June 2025 "Best of" issue of Cape Cod LIFE.
