Fulfilling a lifelong dream, native Cape Codders return home to create a welcoming dining atmosphere and share inspired flavors.

World-renowned chef Anthony Bourdain said, “When someone cooks for you, they are saying something. They are telling you about themselves: Where they come from, who they are, what makes them happy.” So, when Rich Warner began cooking lunch every day for his then coworker, Jennifer—she paid attention to what he was telling her. With a smile that reaches her eyes she recalls, “Once he started feeding me, he couldn’t get rid of me!” In true Cape Cod fashion, and perhaps sealing the deal, a future date included fishing at Menauhant Beach where he caught a blue fish and later cooked it for her. Now, after honing his culinary skills and nurturing his passion for food in restaurants in the Boston area for over 20 years, Warner has finally returned to Cape Cod to fulfill a lifelong dream of sharing his unique creations with the community where he—and Jennifer, now his wife of 32 years—feel most at home.
Similar to Bourdain’s humble beginnings in the restaurant industry, Warner, an East Falmouth native, also began his long career in restaurants as a dishwasher. “And then, you know, I kind of got looped into the business—by attrition,” he laughs. Before he knew it, Warner was operating the whole kitchen at age 18. Despite his original plan to be an aircraft mechanic, he remained there, with his nose to the grindstone, until his mid-twenties when he adventured off Cape to accompany Jennifer, who was working at a literacy program and planning her career as a librarian.
