A delicious view of Hyannis and a taste of Main Street.

Working alongside one another, The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District (HMSBID) are poised to launch one of the region’s first Restaurant Week events. This inaugural collaboration, designed to highlight the robust and distinct dining options in Hyannis, will take place October 18th-25th with over 50 restaurants participating in this special event. Rick Zilewicz, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Banking Officer for the bank shares, “Hyannis Restaurant Week is a celebration and an opportunity for the community to appreciate and support our local restaurants. From owners to waitstaff, restaurants are a pillar of what sustains our economy year-round.”

Elizabeth Wurfbain, Executive Director for HMSBID echoes the sentiment, adding that downtown Hyannis, as the epicenter of Cape Cod, is the perfect destination for the event, with an unequaled variety of restaurants found in any other Cape locale. She says, “We have so much texture to Main Street. There’s such a variety of cultures and flavors here from the authentic coastal specialties of this region, as well as Caribbean, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Portuguese and Brazilian—there’s something here for everyone!”

Diners will delight in Restaurant Week’s specials, which may come in the form of exclusive menu items or special pricing. With multiple options and different price points, all budgets will be accommodated; whether you choose a tried and true favorite, or let Restaurant Week be your sign to visit a new culinary spot. Main Street Hyannis is an accessible, safe, one mile walk, with an eclectic assortment of shops as well as restaurants that offer indoor as well as outdoor dining; from whichever end you choose to begin, the stroll feels different each time. “Hyannis Main Street is the perfect example of a Main Street USA that integrates a powerful history with a willingness to evolve and reinvent itself. It represents a cross section of our community and provides a dynamic example of who we are as Cape Codders,” opines Zilewicz.

The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District invite you to kick off the festivities with a Sip & Shop event on Thursday, October 17th from 5-8pm. Come take a stroll between the many businesses on Main Street, some of which will treat you to a beverage while you shop! Restaurant Week kicks off on Friday, October 18th. Check the Events tab on hyannismainstreet.com for up-to-date information on both events and specials. To purchase Sip & Shop passports, head to www.hyannismainstreet.com/sip-shop.
