What could make this couple’s beautiful Cape Cod wedding even more memorable? How about a serenade by American Idol winner Jordin Sparks.

With a background of rolling waves, a sea salt breeze, and an abundance of love, Julia and Cole Carnemark said “I do” at the breathtaking Wychmere Beach Club. On a perfect Saturday evening in early May, the Carnemarks celebrated their love in true classic New England fashion: hues of blue, shades of greens, touches of white, preppy stripes and of course, plenty of hydrangeas.

Long before their wedding day, the Cape was a place of summer traditions, family memories, and time spent by the sandy shores. Julia grew up in New Jersey, but spent her summers on Cape Cod, where her Boston-based uncle would rent a house for several weeks each year before eventually making the Cape home. And when it came time for Julia’s parents to retire, they settled on splitting their time between Orleans and Florida.

Cole’s connection to the Cape is just as familiar. His family spent many summers on Nantucket, giving the couple a shared affection for the coastal landscape that would eventually become the setting for their wedding. “We both have such fond memories summering on the Cape which truly meant a lot to us,” the couple shares.

Julia graduated from Syracuse University and was living in Manhattan, building her career. While Cole, an Ithaca College graduate, was working for the Yankees. The two of them met at a mutual friends’ party on the Jersey Shore and immediately hit it off.
