A Parisian style boutique here on Cape Cod Fête Among the Flowers is a true delight for the senses.

Entering Fête Among the Flowers is a transformative experience. From the outside, you might mistake it for just another Main Street shop in Osterville, with its classic black-and-white façade, but step inside, and Fête becomes a treat for the senses—one that makes you feel you’ve been transported to a Parisian boutique. There’s a subtle, beautiful scent, music set to just the right tempo to put you at ease, and products so visually stunning that, for a moment, you forget why you came in. The display pieces could belong to the Paris of today or the Paris of decades past. The soft woodgrain, brass accents, and marble surfaces are steeped in the tradition of fine shopkeeping.

Marc Sievers—founder of Fête Among the Flowers and Candyville—is a consummate florist, cook, and designer, and a lover of all things both elegant and earthy. That sensibility is the vision behind Fête. The elegance lives in the quality of every product on the shelves; each item is something Marc either owns and uses himself or has personally tried, tested, and approved. The earthiness comes through in the perfectly imperfect—a mix of high and low, fancy and familiar, organic and structured.

His flower arrangements follow the same philosophy, and clients return for that distinct point of view. Marc is originally from Lawrence, Massachusetts, and had been coming to the Cape since he was a child. “The Cape has always been a very special place for me,” he says. During COVID, Marc and his husband, Ryan, decided city living was no longer for them. They were in Chicago at the time, but the coast was calling. When they moved, Marc was writing cookbooks and creating florals for events—but once they bought a house and settled in, he knew it was time for his next project. Fête Among the Flowers was born of Marc’s love and creativity with helping clients enjoy a more layered life: in the flavors of their cooking, the visuals of their flowers, the products they use, the gifts they give, and their style at home. His staff knows every product in the store and stays attuned to clients’ needs and wants, asking just the right questions to help shoppers find what they’re after—and giving space to those who’d rather simply browse.

The glass cooler at the front of the shop holds imported butter, caviar, and cheeses sourced from New England institutions like Wasik’s in Wellesley and from farther afield in France and Italy. There are ingredients for home cooks, both sweet and savory, and beautiful hostess gifts both edible and decorative. There are textiles from Italy, fragrance and skincare collections from France, and a generous selection of tabletop, linens, and flatware. “People come here because they’re not looking for the trend— they’re looking for timeless elegance that can be woven into Cape Cod’s ease,” Marc says. The back third of the shop is a pantheon of flowers, and they are stunning. Arranged by color, the selection spans tried-and-true favorites of the highest quality alongside blooms that are genuinely unique and breathtaking. Design stations are smartly set across from the flower coolers, so on any given visit you might find one of Fête’s experienced florists creating an arrangement in real time. “Fête Among the Flowers is really a destination store. You come to Fête to be inspired. I just love sharing what I have found and having people come in and experience all sorts of things that will delight them,” Marc shares. “It is a genuinely fun place to be, especially now that we have so much more space, it’s like a little party—a true fête.”

Fête Among the Flowers first opened in 2024 at 13 Wianno Avenue, and within seven weeks Marc realized he would need more space. Fast-forward to May 1, 2026, when the shop moved to its current home at 846 Main Street. The magic of that first location was impossible to let go—so Marc, drawing on his love of whimsy and joy, created a new shop in its place called Candyville, where the sweet excitement of childhood candy meets the more sophisticated flavors of grown-up indulgences.

Marc’s career began at Saks Fifth Avenue in Boston when he was eighteen. He honored his top-tier clients by throwing dinner parties on their behalf and creating beautiful flower arrangements for them during the holidays. Over time, his love of entertaining—and of food and florals in particular—took over, and he has worked in those worlds for over twenty years. Some of that work was industry-adjacent, like commercial food styling for brands such as Food Network, Crate & Barrel, and Kohl’s, to name a few. He has created billboards, magazine covers, and product packaging, but commercial aspect lacked a lived-in feeling that is essential to his own aesthetic.  Everything was always too perfect.  “I love to live in the perfectly imperfect,” Marc says. His cookbooks, by contrast, are authentically him: he has tested and written every recipe from a home cook’s perspective, and the art direction and photography are all his own, offering you a window into his layered and relaxed way of being.

The same goes for his floral design. “I love when things look like you wandered into the garden—a fabulous garden full of the most beautiful flowers—and casually arranged the most beautiful blooms you could find before your houseguests woke up in the morning.”

The arrangements are the full embodiment of Marc’s earthy and elegant everyday living. Fête imports flowers from all over the world, including Holland, France, Japan, and Ecuador. Some blooms are local; others Marc hand-selects in Boston on his weekly buying trip. “Most of our clients have come to understand our aesthetic. We’re not mixing in ten or twenty different colors, or it could look like a dog’s breakfast. When you work with a tighter palette, each flower feels more important—you’re seeing multiples of the same color in different textures, so it all harmonizes better,” Marc says of the design philosophy at Fête.

Asked what inspires him, Marc says, “I’m inspired by the art of simplicity. I’m a big believer that simplicity always wins—whether it’s how many ingredients are in a recipe or how many types of flowers are in an arrangement. Achieving simplicity is really hard, because for something to feel simple, to me it still has to feel layered, earthy, elegant, cultivated, and interesting.”

“What I love most about Cape Cod, now that it is home and we’ve been in business a few years, is how much love we get from everyone. I’ve never been in a community so tight and so supportive, so gracious and so thoughtful. I treat Fête Among the Flowers like an extension of my home. You’re not walking into my store—you’re walking into my living room. It just happens to be filled with fabulous things to buy.”
