The Women and Girls Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation has a worthy champion in their corner: Lisa Oliver of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.
For Lisa Oliver, Chair of the Board, President and CEO of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, the opportunity to become involved with The Cape Cod Foundation was a natural choice. Oliver, who relocated to the Cape from the Midwest, specifically to take on the responsibilities of her new role with the well-established and well-respected bank, says she was inspired by the way The Cape Cod Foundation connects with the community. “When I first arrived, many people suggested a few organizations they thought I should consider getting involved with. Repeatedly, The Cape Cod Foundation was at the top of people’s lists. I think that is because of the very real community connection and overseeing the benefits the Cape has to offer is at the forefront of the Foundation’s mission.” Oliver who spent many years vacationing on the Cape, was interested in meeting and connecting with people as she planted her roots in her new home. In addition, she had a history of being a board member—such as serving on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum board—making the unique work and abilities inherent to a foundation familiar to her.
