If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air…
Sarah McCaffery and her husband, Simon, grew up enjoying summertime on the Cape with their families. From days spent roaming the beach or developing a taste for lobster rolls to rainy day shopping expeditions or explorations into the Cape’s storied history, this couple has not only experienced “olde Cape Cod” firsthand, they embody it. Today, Sarah and Simon love sharing the quintessential Cape Cod vacation that they enjoyed as kids with their own children, Hudson, Oliver and Julia, who readers may recognize from the cover of the June 2017 issue of Cape Cod LIFE. Sarah and Simon’s lives have truly come full circle, with Cape Cod always at the epicenter. Check out this photo journal, taken by Sarah herself, of their busy vacation this summer, spent enjoying Cape Cod’s beaches, sites and, of course, each other.
Sarah has been teaching kids about horseshoe crabs and other sea life since she was a young girl. The left photo, from 1987, shows her with her younger sister, Rebecca, and in the right photo, from 2018, Sarah is with her daughter, Julia.
