Readers Resource: Classic Tile & Stone
Choosing the perfect tile for your home: it’s a process that inherently requires a small leap of faith. For Julie Ryan and Kristin Henaghan, turning their love for tile and shared design experience into their own business hinged on that same type of leap. Trust in each other, in their passion for exquisite tile, and each of their unique eyes for design led them to open Classic Tile & Stone in Hingham.
“Being from the South Shore, we knew there was a lack of the selections, brands and quality of product that was available in Boston,” explains Ryan about opening Classic Tile & Stone. “We are happy to be a part of a community of amazing people and businesses in Hingham.”
With over 40 years of experience between the two of them, Henaghan and Ryan strive to make the experience of choosing the right tile more exciting and less stressful. Offering a vast collection of fine ceramic, natural stone, and glass tile, that they describe as perfectly balanced between “new but not trendy,” the duo assists their customers from beginning to end, consulting on everything from initial selection to installation. “It’s really about building relationships with our clients,” notes Henaghan.
“We want our customers to enjoy the process, love their selections and leave our showroom feeling good about the choices they have made,” continues Henaghan, noting that the process can often feel overwhelming. “We want to simplify things. It’s our goal to help clients create spaces that are not just functional, but also reflect their personalities, and we love that every project is different, from the styles to the personalities and the overall spaces.”
For Ryan and Henaghan, assisting everyday with the small leaps of faith that give a home a sense of personality and peace–be it within simple projects or complex remodels–keeps their work fresh and exciting. “No two days are alike,” explains Ryan. “We get to play with new colors, textures, and designs every single day. What is more fun than an ever-changing canvas?”
