When Falmouth natives Joe and Joan Valle decided to move the business they had started in Waltham back to their hometown in 2005, they knew one thing for certain: The Cape was where they wanted to live and work.

What they couldn’t have foreseen back then, was that their small custom home building business would grow to become such an integral part of the community—or that The Valle Group would be named “2023 Builder of The Year” by their industry peers on Cape Cod for both their outstanding work and their commitment to giving back to the community.

“It’s certainly more than we ever dreamed of and we are very grateful” said Joe Valle, who remains CEO of the now second-generation business he and Joan started over 25 years ago.

The Valle Group started with only two employees, Joe and Joan: “But I had an abiding belief that so long as one acts with integrity, treats others with care and respect, and maintains a commitment to excellence, the business will attract others with similar values—and things will work out.” Valle said.

Things have more than ‘worked out’ for the multi-award-winning firm. The Valle Group has earned dozens of awards for excellence in construction, particularly in the area of High Performance construction. The Valle Group is recognized as a pioneer in Green building and holds the distinction of having built the first Certified Passive House on Cape Cod—one of only 24 such houses in the entire nation at the time it was completed.

Joe’s son, Christian, came on board in 2005 and now serves as President. Joe’s wife, Joan, is Director of Design. The company has 30 full time employees, most of whom have been with the company for a decade or more.  The experienced and dedicated team serves clients all over Cape Cod from its East Falmouth office.

In addition, Joe, Joan and Christian each volunteer on a number of local non-profit boards. They are passionate supporters of affordable housing, environmental causes, and numerous cultural and charitable organizations whose work strives to make life better for all who live and work on Cape Cod.
