Ingredients
- 1/2 lb strawberries hulled and chopped
- 1 cup cold water
- 5 cups cubed watermelon plus small wedges for garnish
- 1 cup Casamigos Blanco tequila
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice about 4 limes
- 1/4 cup sugar or to taste
- 1 Tbsp hot honey
- 1/2 cup flaky sea salt
- 1/2 cup basil very finely chopped
Instructions
- Blend the strawberries with the cold water until smooth.
- Add the watermelon, tequila, lime juice, and sugar. Blend until combined.
- Pour into a pitcher and chill while you prepare the rim.
- Pour the hot honey onto one plate, and mix the sea salt and finely chopped basil on another.
- Rim each glass (mason jars work well) by dipping first in the hot honey, then in the basil-salt mixture.
- Fill glasses with pebble ice, pour in the margarita, and garnish with a strawberry and a watermelon wedge. Enjoy!
Notes
The farm stand’s watermelon and strawberries, blended into a bright, boozy slush and finished with a hot honey–salt rim. This one is built for a mason jar and a porch—sweet, a little spicy, and dangerously easy to refill
