The 11th annual Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival is the perfect event to experience the local production of farm and fish on the Cape. The five-day festival features events such as cooking competitions, grand tastings, and brunch with some of the best chefs on the Vineyard. Ticket proceeds benefit two local organizations: the Island Grown Schools Program and the Agricultural Society’s Farmers Program. For ticket and event information, visit mvfoodandwine.com.
The Nantucket Cranberry Festival is about as quintessential Cape Cod as you can get. The famed state fruit stars at this festival in a day of food, music and education about cranberry harvesting. Nantucket is often thought of as a summer vacation spot, but you’ll find Nantucket during the fall season is just as lovely, and quite peaceful. Now in its 15th year, the Cranberry Festival features a large variety of events throughout the day, including hay rides, cranberry harvesting, live music, a petting zoo, and food vendors with just about every cranberry food creation you can think of.
