Bellew Tile & Marble: A Legacy of Family, Craft, and Community
When you step inside Bellew Tile & Marble’s Yarmouth showroom, you immediately sense the balance between inspiration and practicality. Gleaming displays of tile, stone, and luxury vinyl tempt the imagination, while the hum of contractors picking up supplies in the early morning hours reflects the heartbeat of the local building community. It’s a family business that has become both a trusted design destination for homeowners and a reliable resource for builders, designers, and trades across Cape Cod and the South Shore.
The Bellew family’s connection to tile spans three generations. Jimmy Bellew’s grandfather installed tile in the days when the choices were few and the process was personal. “He’d come home from work, put on a collared shirt, and head to someone’s house with samples in a briefcase,” Jimmy recalls. His father followed in those footsteps after returning from Vietnam, working long hours to support a growing family of eight children. In the early 1990s, he turned a dream into reality by opening a small, 1,000-square-foot tile shop in Rockland.
