A new destination in Dennis—the latest in the Pelham Hospitality Group—rooted in food, land, and the rhythms of life on the Cape.

Pull off Route 28 in Dennis and step through the doors of Love Farms, and the pace shifts almost immediately. The hum of traffic fades, replaced by natural vistas, crackling fire pits, music drifting, and a sense of space that feels both unexpected and deeply grounding. It’s a feeling that invites you to slow down—and to stay awhile.

Love Farms is many things at once: a farm-inspired restaurant, a thoughtfully curated market, a venue for live music, celebrations, and family gatherings. But at its core, it is a place designed for connection—between people, between food and land, and between the seasons that define life on Cape Cod.

The concept was originally envisioned by Dennis and Dylan Leary, along with Frank Hursey and Mark Gentilozzi, with an original goal to create something the Cape didn’t already have: an immersive, community-centered destination rooted in sustainability, seasonality, and shared experience. That vision found its natural engine in Pelham Hospitality Group, (PHG) with John and Heather McCarthy at the helm commanding a portfolio of distinctive Cape Cod properties known for pairing elevated hospitality with an unmistakable sense of place. The history of Leary’s partnership with McCarthy at the onset of PHG ensured the entire team was naturally in sync.

“What excited us was the opportunity to create something different,” John McCarthy says. “Something thoughtful, centered around really good food, and being intentional about how we source, prepare, and serve.”

From the moment guests arrive, Love Farms feels like a transportive discovery. Architecturally and atmospherically, it evokes an elegant rural sensibility—think Vermont farmstead meets Cape Cod charm. Step outside and the landscape opens wide, revealing a protected outdoor environment that feels worlds away from the bustle of Route 28.

Heather McCarthy describes it as a place meant for lingering. “Once you reach the lawn, it’s all about settling in—having another drink, listening to music, watching kids play, and realizing there’s no rush to be anywhere else.”

That sense of ease is intentional. Love Farms was designed to welcome everyone: young families, retirees, large friend groups, couples, and visitors discovering the Cape for the first time. It’s casual without being careless, refined without being exclusive—a balance that invites repeat visits rather than special-occasion formality.

At the heart of Love Farms is food that reflects both Cape Cod’s seasonality and the way people want to eat these days. Mornings begin with a much-loved breakfast menu featuring house-made biscuits, Benedicts, and breakfast sandwiches that have quickly earned a loyal following. Lunch unfolds into wood-fired pizzas, burgers, fresh salads, and small plates designed for sharing.

Those smaller offerings—branded as Tastes of Harvest—offer a preview of the flavors and ingredients of the season, as does the  Love Farms’ other culinary experiences that evolve with the seasons.

Executive Chef Kevin Curtin leads the kitchen, bringing a deep passion for craft and technique. His bread program alone—featuring house-made bagels, focaccia, and sourdough—has become a quiet signature, complemented by a rotating pastry case filled daily with baked goods made entirely in-house.

The adjacent market extends that philosophy beyond the plate. Carefully curated rather than overwhelming, it showcases select local purveyors, house-made products, seasonal farm items, and eggs from Love Farms’ own laying hens. Every item is chosen with purpose, reinforcing the idea that quality doesn’t require excess.

What truly distinguishes Love Farms is the way guests are encouraged to move through the space organically. A visit might begin with breakfast, stretch into live music on the lawn, continue with a stroll through the market, and end with cocktails by the fire as the afternoon drifts toward evening.

Seasonal live entertainment, heated outdoor seating, porches that blur the line between indoors and out, and plans for expanded outdoor bars and programming ensure the experience continues throughout the year. Guided farm tours, children’s play spaces, and educational initiatives are all part of the long-term vision.

Harvest dinners—intimate, family-style, multi-course meals—offer another dimension. With limited seating, these dinners allow the team to highlight local sourcing and thoughtful preparation in a more focused way, reinforcing Love Farms’ mission while creating deeply memorable communal experiences.

Behind every detail is a team that believes in what they’re building. “We’re seeing young professionals stay on the Cape because they want to be part of this,” John McCarthy says. “When your team believes in the vision, that belief translates directly to the guest.”

That energy is already palpable. Guests return weekend after weekend. Families linger comfortably. Large groups gather without hesitation. And even during busy moments, the prevailing mood is one of shared excitement rather than frustration.

Ask visitors how they’d describe Love Farms, and a common refrain emerges: “The Cape needed this.”

Not simply because it’s new, but because it fills a space—both literal and emotional—that had been waiting. Love Farms isn’t defined by a single season or moment. It’s a place designed to evolve, deepen, and grow alongside the community it serves. Love Farms stands as a reminder that the most meaningful destinations aren’t rushed into being. They’re cultivated—carefully, intentionally, and with love.
