E. J. Jaxtimer Builder, Inc. and Sudbury Design Group earn well-deserved recognition while transforming a lucky homeowner’s backyard.
The thing about a home on the Cape and Islands—whether it is a vacation home, or a year-round sanctuary—is that you get to enjoy the unique and invigorating outdoor environment that makes this region so special and so desirable. Visitors and residents from around the world have made the Cape a destination for beaches, water sports, golf and generally every activity that is best enjoyed outside with beautiful vistas.
For one lucky family in Osterville, their home presumably had it all. A spacious and comfortable home for themselves, their adult children and even another generation of young ones. A comfortable backyard featured an exquisite pool, originally designed and installed by Viola Associates, with clean lines and plenty of patio space for everyone to find exactly what they wanted—sun, shade, quiet, a place to dine and lush expanses of manicured lawn and mature plantings.
The natural surroundings were appropriate given the adjacent proximity to a very popular and exclusive golf course. While the never-ending visual display provided by the eager golfers afforded entertainment and prompted many discussions, the constant activity was counter to any presumption of privacy for the homeowners.
