An experienced professional takes on her biggest challenge and finds her greatest satisfaction.

Nadine Krasnow is a treasure hunter. A treasure hunter in the truest sense of the word, not someone who is in search of the plunder stolen and stowed by pirates centuries before, but rather someone with a discerning eye who can identify the unique and incomparable potential the most humble and mundane items and opportunities have if properly managed. This Realtor by trade is an explorer of sorts by accident, as her history of purchasing properties, coaxing out their finer points, and offering them for sale to new caretakers, has proven. It is through that successful rejuvenation that Krasnow finds some of her greatest satisfaction.

“I’ve invested my love and vision into many homes over the years,” Krasnow explains. “But I have never built a house—until now.” This first full-home project sits atop the highest point in Falmouth in a comfortable subdivision a short distance from North Falmouth’s Old Silver Beach. Krasnow had driven by the lot countless times, applying her keen real estate agent’s eye to identify the hidden potential of one of the town’s last pieces of available land.

“It was 2021 and there were only three pieces of land under $1,000,000 listed in all of Falmouth. This one had been on the market for some time. I just kept looking at it, driving by, walking it—anything to try to figure out how it could work,” she recalls.

The lot was very narrow and the back of the lot descended steeply. Krasnow’s original instinct was to consider a contemporary structure with a multi-level rear façade that could accommodate the drop in the grade....
