Deepak Chopra is an Indian-American author and alternative medicine advocate. Born in 1946, his website reported in 2022 that he has never been sick a day in his life.

My first year out of college 1970, I rented an apartment in the Back Bay section of Boston. I liked Boston but decided not to live there any longer. I was working for a national publishing company and had the freedom to work from home. So I rented a house on the Annisquam River in Gloucester with views to Annisquam Harbor and Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester. Gloucester was beautiful but too far from Cape Cod.

One year later I bought a house in Scituate with a small view out to the Old Oaken Bucket Pond. The house was a quick two-minute drive to Scituate Harbor, and the cliffs protecting the harbor. This was also adjacent to a great marsh next to the North River, which ran out to the shoreline. Scituate was great but it was only halfway to Cape Cod.

Working from home, I moved to Cape Cod in 1976.  I bought a lot and built my home. There was a view from the second floor so the house was built with the bedrooms on the first floor and living areas on the second and third floors. The view was across the end of the golf course to North Bay in Osterville. To the south sits Crosby Landing and North Bay. In the northeast North Bay is connected to Cotuit Bay. In the northwest it is connected to a tidal channel leading to Prince Cove in...
