Hello again, it’s Enzo Wagner, Canine Product Reviewer here at Cape Cod Life Publications. Since my last column, we have spent months researching, discovering and testing some great products to make life with your humans on the Cape and beyond the best it can possibly be. Since boating and other water sports are always at the top of my agenda, I’ve decided to focus on innovative products that encourage enjoying all of the water you can find. At the same time, these products help keep your human happy and stress-free.

First up, the folks at Gunnel Pups have given a lot of thought to what makes the perfect dog collar, no matter the season. Based in Maine, and founded by Amy, an innovative dog Mom, who was inspired by her English Cream Golden Retriever sisters Annie and Bridie, their motto is, “Designed for Life on the Water,” and their Long-Lasting Saltwater Collars are exactly what you need. During the summer months, their cheery patterns still allow you to look pulled together and dignified for any sunset cocktail party; even if you have spent the better part of the day rolling in whatever at the beach, and bounding through the surf. And let’s face it, wet and wild adventure is not out of reach in the winter as well. The collars are manufactured with durable fabrics and parts in Maine, and my human is always smiling when she pulls it out of the washing machine and clips it on me with a snuggle.
