At Fresh Interiors, the style is what owner Richard McLaughlin likes to refer to as “sophisticated coastal.” “We leave out the kitsch and add comfort and style, with fabrics that have texture and warmth, but are still durable enough to withstand the excitement of a Cape Cod summer,” he explains.
Fresh Interiors got its start in South Yarmouth, quickly becoming known for their curation of beautiful kitchens, baths, tile, and flooring. When they moved to a larger space on Route 28 in West Dennis, McLaughlin and his team introduced a stylish collection of furniture. This expanded boutique showroom features hand selected furniture and accessories meant to inspire.
“While kitchen design still is and always will be a major portion of our business, our new furniture collection gave us the opportunity to really express our style and show our unique vision of what coastal style is all about,” explains McLaughlin. “When selecting pieces, we think about a combination of style, comfort, and price, and our showroom really displays that balance.”
“Being part of the Cape Cod community has been amazing,” reflects McLaughlin. “We were approached from the day we opened by people that wanted to promote Fresh Interiors to family and friends. We were honored to promote other businesses and trades to our clients in turn. That sense of community here has made the Cape’s 60 mile peninsula seem more like a village.”
An experience at Fresh Interiors is emphasized by a unique attention to detail. “We ask a lot of questions about how a client is going to use the furniture they are looking for, and how it will fit in their home,” notes McLaughlin. “For example, an elderly client will need different furniture than a client moving into a first home with a growing family. So, we ask and listen. Then, we help select the best furniture for the personal lifestyles of our customers.”
