The Puritan: Beth’s Bakery & Café
Ingredients
Cranberry apple chutney
- 5 cups Cranberries chopped, or 4 cups frozen cranberries
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 3/4 cup Orange juice use juice with pulp for extra flavor and texture
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Cloves
- 1 Apple Finely diced
Sandwich
- 4 oucnes Turkey sliced
- Mayonnaise
- Lettuce
- 2 tbsp Cranberry apple chutney
- 2 slices Cranberry pan de mie (French for soft bread)* or other soft bread
Instructions
Cranberry apple chutney
- Simmer all ingredients together in a saucepan until a jelly-like consistency forms. Keep refrigerated for longer life.
Sandwich
- Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one slice of bread. Top with lettuce, cranberry apple chutney, and turkey. More mayonnaise can be added to the top slice of bread if desired. Makes 1 sandwich.
